Circulate is desktop business-management software ("the Software") published by Circulate Systems ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Software handles, including data accessed from Google services with your permission.
Circulate is an offline-first desktop application. Your business records (members, students, events, registrations, receipts, accounts) are stored in a database on your own computer or server. We do not receive, host, or process that data on our servers.
If you choose to connect your Google account, Circulate uses the official Google Forms API with these permissions:
The connection token is stored encrypted on your own computer. Form responses are stored in your local database only. We never see, receive, transmit, sell, or share your Google data - it moves directly between your computer and Google.
Circulate's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular: Google user data is used only to provide the user-facing features described above; it is not used for advertising; it is not sold; and it is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with prior notice to users.
You can disconnect Circulate's access to your Google account at any time from myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting stops all further access immediately; forms already created remain in your own Google account under your control.
Secrets (such as Google connection tokens and portal passwords) are stored encrypted at rest on your machine. Database backups made by the Software stay on the locations you choose.
